Seismic survey firm Polarcus reported Thursday that it has successfully completed the acquisition of seismic data for its Breagh multi-client survey in the southern zone of the UK North Sea – some five days ahead of schedule.
Polarcus said that the 325-square mile seismic survey was carried out by its Polarcus Naila vessel. The firm said there was no technical downtime during the survey.
The survey, which was supported by significant industry pre-funding, was designed to provide enhanced imaging of the Carboniferous Breagh field in UK Block 42/13, extending Polarcus's multi-client coverage in the gas basin to more than 2,075 square miles of modern high-density 3D seismic data.
