MILAN, May 28 (Reuters) - Italian oil and gas group Eni revamped its organisational structure to allow it to focus more on core businesses and save on costs under its new management, it said on Wednesday.
In a statement, state-controlled Eni said the new structure would help growth in its upstream exploration and production business and turnaround its other activities in mid- and down-stream.
"The aim of this new organisation is to fully leverage all of Eni's resources, streamlining structures, avoiding duplications and transforming Eni into an operational company," said Claudio Descalzi, who took over as CEO of Eni this month.
