Statoil Selects Prime Four Business Park for New UK HQ

Norway's Statoil announced Thursday that it has selected Prime Four Business Park in Kingswell, Aberdeen as the location of its new operations center and head office for development and production activities on the UK Continental Shelf.

Currently under development, Prime Four is located approximately five miles west of Aberdeen city center.

Statoil said that it has agreed a deal with Drum Property Group for a 60,000-square foot facility that will be built to Statoil's specifications. The parties are currently finalizing terms and determining the building design, with construction planned to begin late in 2014 ahead a move-in date of early 2016.

"This solution will give us modern and functional facilities for safe and efficient operations of the Mariner field," Gunnar Breivik, head of the Statoil's Aberdeen office, said in a company statement.
