Dolphin Wins New 3D Seismic Contract in South America
Norwegian seismic survey firm Dolphin Geophysical announced Monday the award of new 3D seismic data acquisition contract offshore South America. The new award is expected to last for more than 70 days.
Dolphin said it will use two vessels to cover the increased demand in the South America region. The surveys will begin with the Sanco Swift vessel in May, with the Polar Duke joining it for operations in the third and fourth quarter of this year.
Dolphin CEO Atle Jacobsen commented in a company statement:
"Dolphin has succeeded expanding globally into new regions. We are pleased to see the increased demand for our new high-capacity 3D seismic vessels and for Dolphin to secure continuous long term backlog in new targeted regions like South America"
