COSL Delivers COSL7 Module Rig, Heads to Gulf Of Mexico to Prepare for Work
China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL or the Group), an integrated oilfield services provider in offshore China, announced Tuesday that its newly built module rig, COSL7 is being delivered to Mexico, and installation of modules as well as pre-operation testing will commence upon its arrival at Gulf of Mexico.
The COSL7 module rig is designed to operate in well depths of 25,000 feet, equipped with winch capacity of 3,000 (HP) horsepower, as well as top-drive drilling volume of 750 tons. Starting from its delivery to Mexico, COSL7 will provide drilling services to clients in the region for no less than 3 years, where service fees will be relatively higher as compared to previous module rigs. Prior to COSL7, COSL currently has 4 module rigs providing offshore drilling services in Gulf of Mexico, where their contracts have been renewed continuously.
