Production Commences at Llano Field in the Gulf of Mexico

ExxonMobil reports that production has commenced from the Llano field, approximately 200 miles southwest of New Orleans in the Gulf of Mexico.

Production at the field, located in Garden Banks blocks 385 and 386 in 2,600 feet of water, is currently flowing at an approximate gross rate of 10,500 barrels of oil and 26 million cubic feet of gas per day from one well. Production began on April 30, and is producing through an 11.5-mile flowline to the Shell Auger platform. Dedicated processing capacity at Auger for Llano is 25,000 barrels of oil and 75 million cubic feet of gas per day. The second of two initial wells is planned to be on production later in May.

In addition to ExxonMobil with 22.5 percent equity, interest owners include Shell (operator at 27.5 percent) and Amerada Hess (50 percent).
