Novatek Completes Purovsky Plant Expansion

Russia's largest independent gas producer, Novatek, reported Thursday that it has completed the expansion of its Purovsky plant, which processes de-ethanized (unstabled) gas condensate produced at the company's fields.

Novatek said the last two – out of four – new gas condensate stabilization trains, with three millions tons per annum capacity, were launched at the Purovsky plant, resulting in the completion of a project to expand the plant's capacity from five to 11 million tons. The first two new trains were launched in Octover 2013.

Novatek Chairman Leonid V. Mikhelson commented in a company statement:

"We have successfully completed another strategic project and achieved balance between our gas condensate production potential and processing capacity. Expansion of the Purovsky plant was implemented on time and on budget."
