West Africa-focused Eland Oil & Gas reported Monday that it has made progress with its activities on the OML 40 license, onshore Nigeria, and that it expects to see production commence shortly.

Eland said that rehabilitation work on the Opuama flowstation has been completed and that it has entered the project’s pre-commissioning and testing phase. This will include the testing of the final section of the 12-inch export line, the firm said, with the commencement of production to follow shortly.

Eland added that it is looking forward to the start of a drilling campaign to develop the Opuama field.
