Delays Cost SeaBird Voyager Explorer Contract
Norwegian seismic vessel operator SeaBird Exploration reported Thursday that a series of delays have led to the cancellation of a $16 million contract for its Voyager Explorer ship.
The contract, for seismic survey work in the Asia-Pacific region, had been expected to begin in mid-November and estimated to last 110 days.
SeaBird said that it is considering alternative opportunities for the vessel, but it warned that the cancellation will negatively affect the company’s utilization figures.
