SINGAPORE, Nov 22 (Reuters) – Singapore is interested in importing shale gas from the United States, and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong raised the issue during his visit to the White House earlier this year, said Foreign Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam.

"When the PM was on his official visit to the US, we raised it and we said we would be very happy to receive gas from the U.S.," Shanmugan said while speaking to South Asian business leaders and policymakers on Thursday, reported the Straits Times.
