Russia's Gazprom Neft reported Tuesday that new high-technology operations at its mature fields helped to improve overall hydrocarbon production by four percent to 339 million barrels of oil equivalent during the first nine months of 2013.
Gazprom Neft said continued production growth at its Priobskoye field, its deposits in the Orenburg region and its SeverEnergia joint venture also played its part in the result.
The firm said that the increase in overall production and the sale of petroleum products "via premium distribution channels" led to an improved adjusted profit (at the EBITDA level) of 2.9 percent to $7.6 billion for the January-to-September period.
