NES Global Talent, the technical manpower specialist, has spoken of its European expansion plans after signing an agreement enabling the company to recruit staff for Norwegian oil company Statoil.
The five-year framework agreement enables NES Global Talent to fill global contract subsurface roles for Statoil, with the majority of roles based onshore in Norway and offshore on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Talking about the new framework agreement with Statoil, Mike Wallace, Associate Director at NES Global Talent, said: “We are delighted to have won this tender and look forward to working with Statoil to ensure it continues to have access to the very best talent in the industry.”
NES Global Talent recently opened a new office in Stavangar, Norway, to help fuel its European expansion. In total the company now has 37 offices in 23 countries around the world.
“Our business is expanding in Europe,” Michael said. “There are a lot of projects starting up across the continent, with a number of new discoveries being made in more testing environments where more advanced technology and skills are required, such as subsurface. There is also a huge demand for people with advanced scientific skills to work on older assets and help improve productivity and extend field life.
“In order to fill the skills gap we are tapping into the global talent pool and also working closely with organisations such as the Institution of Chemical Engineering (IChemE) to find people to fill these in-demand roles.”
Last month, the IChemE named NES Global Talent as its approved Global Recruitment Partner in an exclusive three-year deal.
