TL Offshore Ends Charter for Enterprise 3 Derrick Lay Barge
Malaysia's Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, SJR Marine (L) Ltd has received a notice from TL Offshore Sdn Bhd Aug. 21 providing a notice period of 21 days to end the extension charter of the derrick lay barge, Enterprise 3.
SJR Marine owns Enterprise 3, which has been on charter to TL Offshore since 2008.
"The Company is considering available options in securing continuing charters of the Enterprise 3 and would make the necessary announcement thereat," Perisai said in an announcement on the local stock exchange Bursa Malaysia.
TL Offshore extended the charter for Enterprise 3 to Aug. 15 after the main contract lapsed June 30. Since mid-August, the barge was leased on a daily charter basis - at a rate of $60,000 per day - subject to a notice period of 21 days to terminate the charter.
