Rigzone highlights some of the training options available for workers both in the United Kingdom and abroad.

If the criteria for judging the size and impact of a training products and services company is based on the number of oil industry personnel who have used those products and services, then PETEX, the University of Texas Petroleum Extension Service, deserves the #1 ranking. Its Primer of Oilwell Drilling continues to be the worlds best selling oilfield training publication, and its premier Rig School and Petroleum Fundamental courses (along with many others) offered at its Learning and Assessment Center in Houston are consistently sold out.
