Sound Expects Nervesa Well Testing By End August

Italy-focused Sound Oil reported Friday that its onshore Nervesa gas asset is expected to see well testing by the end of this month, after which the company intends to announce the estimated quantity of commercial gas there.

In mid-July Sound reported that it had made a gas discovery at the well, confirming the identification of 151 feet of net gas pay in 13 separate zones.

Sound said it has now successfully run and set the well’s seven-inch liner, perforated seven gas levels and set a double string production completion. The firm has also begun rig demobilization.

Following completion of testing at Nervesa, Sound plans to apply for a production concession ahead of achieving first gas sales in 2015.
