Drillsearch Energy Strengthens Senior Management Team
Drillsearch Energy Limited reported on additions to its senior management team as it positions the Company for future growth. The new appointments are: Peter Fox, as chief commercial officer. Anesti Dermedgoglou, as general manager corporate communications and Margaret Fittler, as general manager human resources. John Whaley retains his position as chief operating officer, however, given the rapid increase in Drillsearch’s operational capacity the commercial aspect of the role is now being attended to by Peter Fox who has recently joined Drillsearch.
Peter Fox, has qualifications in chemical and petroleum engineering and has over 20 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry, with a particular focus on the upstream and infrastructure sectors of the gas industry. Through a series of senior executive roles in Australian corporates including APA Group and Eastern Star Gas, and as an industry consultant, he has led multiple successful acquisitions, negotiated and maintained major contracts, and been responsible for developing and maintaining key external relationships. Peter’s in-house and external advisory experience also encompasses business strategy, investment evaluation and due diligence.
Anesti Dermedgoglou, has held several senior corporate communication and investor relations roles at oil and gas, mining and clean energy companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE), American Stock Exchange (AMEX) and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Most notably, Anesti was vice president Investor and Public Relations at InterOil Corporation Inc. for 8 years, during which period the Company transitioned from a $183.1 million (AUD 200 million) company by capitalisation, to a $3.7 billion (AUD 4 billion) market capitalisation company, listed on the NYSE. He has also held senior investor relations management positions at an ASX/200 listed mining and a clean energy company.
Margaret Fittler has over 15 years’ experience as a human resources (HR) professional and has been responsible for a broad range of human resources functions nationally and internationally. Margaret has two master’s degrees; one in Human Resources Management and the other in Occupational Health & Safety as well as a diploma in Quality Management Systems. Margaret has held positions as: General Manager HR DeltaSBD; Executive HR Manager, Transfield Services; Head of Human Resources, ANSTO; Human Resources & EHS Manager Asia Pacific, Tyco Electrical & Metal Products and National HR & Organisational Change Manager, Komatsu.
