Rig Worker Killed, Another Injured in Kansas

An accident at a drilling rig in Trego County, Kansas has left one man dead and another man was flown to a nearby hospital due to serious injuries, reported the Wichita Business Journal.

The man who was killed was crushed when a derrick basket fell Monday. The incident is under investigation.

Monday's accident involved a rig owned by Horizontal Well Drillers of Purcell, Okla.
