PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia Gets New Managing Director
Charles A. Taylor will take over as managing director of Chevron's subsidiary in Indonesia, PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia, in July after current Chevron IndoAsia Business Unit managing director Jeffrey Shellebarger was named the new president of Chevron North American Exploration and Production Company.
Taylor, formerly Chevron Corp’s vice president for strategic planning, will assume Shellebarger’s position overseeing the company’s upstream activities in Indonesia and the Philippines, according to a report by Indonesian daily Jakarta Post.
The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) - Indonesia's upstream oil and gas regulator - had approved the appointment of Taylor, whose previous experience with Chevron includes appointments as general manager, exploration and production in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom.
Chevron, currently the largest crude oil producer in Indonesia, has a net production in 2012 averaging 158,000 barrels of liquids and 236 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
