Sound Finally Spuds Nervesa Well

Italy-focused Sound Oil announced Friday afternoon (London time) that its long-awaited onshore Nervesa well has spud.

The firm had earlier reported that it expected to spud the well by the end of May after securing the Drilltech TB2100S rig after it completed drilling operations in the Netherlands at the start of last month.

In a previous statement, Sound said it expected drilling and logging at Nervesa to take up to 30 days.

Nervesa is a 21 billion standard cubic feet field discovery by ENI in 1985. Sound hopes that the drilling of the well will be the first step in the company unlocking significant value in its portfolio of assets.
