Atwood Oceanics Lines Up Gig for Semisub

Atwood Oceanics, Inc. announced Thursday that one of its subsidiaries has been awarded a drilling services contract for the rig Atwood Eagle (DW semisub). This contract is for a term of 24 months and will be performed offshore Australia at a day rate of approximately $460,000. Contract commencement is expected to occur in June 2014 in direct continuation of present operations. With the award of this contract, the firm contractual commitment for the Atwood Eagle is expected to extend to June 2016.
