Petronas Carigali Awards AHTS Supply Contract to Perdana Petroleum

Malaysia's Perdana Petroleum disclosed Monday that it has secured a contract, worth $142 million, from Petronas Carigali for four anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.

Under the inked agreement, Perdana Petroleum is obliged to provide Petronas Carigali the AHTS vessels for five years, starting from Jan.1, 2013. Petronas Carigali can choose to extend its use of the AHTS for an additional year.

Perdana Petroleum said in its disclosure that it is expecting the contract to contribute positively to its revenue and earnings for its 2013 financial year, and the financial periods for the duration of the contract.

Last Friday, Perdana Petroleum won two contracts with a total value of $23 million to provide a workboat and a work barge.
