Regal's SV53 Well in Ukraine Hits Target Depth

Ukraine-focused Regal Petroleum reported Thursday that its SV53 well at the Svyrydivske gas and condensate field has reached its target depth of 17,880 feet.

The SV53 well, which reached its target depth of 17,880 feet, has undergone initial testing. The drilling rig has been demobilized and operations to hook up the well to the gas processing facility are progressing, with these activities due to be completed within a month before production testing.

Regal also said that drilling is continuing at its MEX-105 well on the Mekhediviska-Golotvshinska field, with the MEX-105 well having reached a depth of 15,950 feet out of a target depth of 17,225 feet. Workover operations at the firm's GOL-1 well are ongoing to prevent water ingress and that its MEX-3 well remains shut-in for the same reason.

Meanwhile, Regal also reported that its Ukrainian gas and condensate production for the three months to the end of 2012 averaged 6.7 million cubic feet per day of gas and 1,555 cubic feet per day of condensate. For the whole year these figures were 7.1 million cfpd of gas and 1,590 cfpd of condensate.
