change text size

Cosco Singapore announced Friday that it won a contract to supply four platform supply vessels to a Hong Kong-based ship owner.

The deal, worth $119.2 million, is contracted through the company's subsidiary Cosco Zhoushan. Delivery of the four vessels, which will be built based on Rolls Royce's UT 771 CDL design, will start from the first half of 2014.

The contract includes an option for the ship owner to buy an additional four units - within the next six months - based on the same design. Cosco revealed in its statement that the additional units will also be worth around $119.2 million.
