Worker Dies After Accident at Sundance-Operated Well Site
Sundance Energy Australia disclosed Wednesday an accident which took place at the site of the Leo Rother 16-4-11-1HW horizontal Woodford test well, in Logan County, Oklahoma Dec.9 has resulted in the death of a worker.
In its statement posted on the Australian Securities Exchange, Sundance said that operations at the well site have been suspended while the company, its advisors and insurers, and appropriate regulatory authorities in the United States complete a full investigation.
"The company extends its deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased and all of those affected by this tragic incident," Sundance said.
Company representatives were not available for comment or additional information at press time.
Sundance, an independent energy company, is focused on developing projects involving unconventional oil and gas formations in the United States.
