WDi Launches New Entity

Wellhead Distributors International, (aka. WDi) a U.S.-based API 6A wellhead and valve distributor and manufacturer, announced that it has established WDi Drilling Equipment Services, LLC (WDi-DES) to provide aftermarket support for their extensive installed base of wellhead equipment, production trees, Frac valves and related components. In addition, the newly formed subsidiary will focus on the underserved pressure control equipment sector with aftermarket repair of BOPs and Choke & Kill Manifolds to further penetrate the drilling equipment space.

Bruce Terrill has joined WDi-DES as Vice President, COO and will report directly to Alex Kiss- President, CEO.

"We recognized the tremendous aftermarket opportunity that our existing customer base presented as well as the natural expansion into the pressure control equipment and services market that has burgeoned in the aftermath of the Macondo tragedy," according to Mr. Kiss.

"The new venture will enable WDi to expand its offering to our current customer base to include aftermarket services. We are extremely pleased Bruce has joined WDi-DES and his most recent position at DOYLES and extensive experience with global leaders Cameron International and GE Vetco Gray provide us with leadership and industry best practices in this exciting space," added Mr. Kiss.

Bruce commented further, "The recent consolidation in the pressure control sector coupled with existing over absorbed capacity provides significant growth potential for the company in this space and allows incremental growth with existing customers with the additional compliment of aftermarket products and services to their installed base. We also see opportunity to expand WDi's customer base with the addition of drilling equipment including BOP and Choke & Kill Manifold product lines and further international expansion. We both feel the timing is right to launch this enterprise and I am excited to have this opportunity to work with Alex and his world class team".
