Jubilant Completes Successful Campaign at Kharsang

India and Australia-focused Jubilant Energy announced Monday that it has successfully tested the seventh well in its phase-three development of the producing Kharsang Field, Arunachai Pradesh, India.
The onshore well has been successfully tested for oil and has been put on production at an initial gross rate of 226 barrels of oil per day (bopd).
The testing of the well brings to a conclusion a seven-well development drilling campaign, with six of the seven wells testing oil and producing approximately 550 bopd.
The sixth well of the campaign tested gas and has been kept shut for future gas utilization, said Jubilant.
GeoEnpro Petroleum – a joint venture between Jubilant and GeoPetrol – is the operator of the Kharsang Field. Jubilant holds a 25-percent interest in the block through this JV.
