French oilfield services firm Technip announced Monday that it has been awarded an "important" five-year contract with ConocoPhillips (UK) to supply inspection, repair and maintenance to various assets in the Central and Southern North Sea as well as in the east Irish Sea.
The deal is the second North Sea contract that Technip has announced in a week, having reported what it described as a "substantial" contract with Ithaca Energy at the end of July.
The latest contract covers diver repair and maintenance solutions for ConocoPhillips' existing UK subsea infrastructure.
Technip said in a statement that its operating center in Aberdeen, Scotland, will execute the contract, which will run until 2016 with two two-year options for extension.
Vessels from Technip's fleet, includinig the Orelia, the Skandi Achiever and the Wellservicer, will be used to service the contract.
