BP, Plaintiffs Confirm Settlement Extension in Macondo Spill Agreement

BP and the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee (PSC) confirmed that the U.S. District Court has Monday extended the deadline for Settlement Agreement submission through 8:30 AM CDT on Wednesday, April 18. This extension is intended to allow BP and the PSC more time to complete the extensive documentation required to finalize the two Agreements-in-Principle that were announced on March 2.

BP and the PSC are finalizing two separate Settlement Agreements -- one resolving economic and property damage claims; the other resolving medical claims -- that will fairly compensate people and businesses affected by the Deepwater Horizon accident and oil spill.
