Noble Energy Scores at Gulf of Mexico Sale 190

Noble Energy was the apparent successful bidder on 24 of 26 lease blocks the company bid on at the Central Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf Sale 190. Noble Energy bid with partners on two of the apparent high bids and bid alone on the remaining 22 apparent high bids.

On the shelf, the company bid on 24 lease blocks and was the apparent high bidder on 22 lease blocks. All of the 22 shelf blocks on which Noble Energy was the apparent high bidder contain deep objectives below 15,000 feet. In the deepwater, the company was the apparent high bidder on two blocks.

Net to Noble Energy's interest, the high bids total approximately $6.1 million. The company concentrated its bids on opportunities in the West Cameron, Chandeleur and Mobile Bay areas, but also submitted bids on several tracts in the South Marsh Island, Viosca Knoll, Mississippi Canyon and Green Canyon areas.
