Geoforce Leverages RigLogix, WhiteStar to Provide O&G Asset Tracking
Geoforce Inc., a leading provider of GPS asset tracking solutions for the oil and gas industry, has teamed with WhiteStar and Rigzone's Riglogix Database, to provide a seamless integration in its application of oil well sites and offshore drill zones throughout North America including Texas, North Dakota, and the Gulf of Mexico.
The updated mapping features make it easier for oil rental and service providers to assign their assets and people to specific sites and manage equipment usage, time history, and monitor unauthorized movement.
“Geoforce leverages geographic information system (GIS) technology to solve the problems oil equipment and service providers face when asking questions like where is my equipment, how long has it been there and does it need servicing.”
“Geoforce leverages geographic information system (GIS) technology to solve the problems oil equipment and service providers face when asking questions like where is my equipment, how long has it been there and does it need servicing,” said James MacLean, III, President of Geoforce. “We provide operators, equipment and logistics managers and emergency responders real-time asset visibility.”
With over 400,000 offshore lease blocks in the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, Alaska, Brazil and Australia, and 3.4 million wells, pad sites and drill sites in US, the Geoforce Asset Management Solution enables users to search for assets in specific well sites or select assets of interest to review the time and location history of that asset in specific rig zones or oil wells.
Assets like frac tanks, cargo containers, iso containers, pumps, and generators are equipped with Geoforce’s rugged GPS devices that communicate via global satellite and cellular networks and are tracked through Geoforce’s enterprise grade platform and APIs.
All this information is available to users via Geoforce’s award winning Cloud-based software application. Since the asset visibility is just as important to the owners and producers of the oil sites, Geoforce provides a way to share information with vendors and customers without compromising security.
Geoforce’s asset management solution will be on display at the Marcellus Midstream Conference, March 19-21, 2012, at the Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Booth #300.
