IHS CERAWeek 2012 to Shape Energy's Economy

A change is coming to the oil and gas industry—is the industry ready? And more importantly, is the world? Over 300 speakers are meeting this week at IHS CERAWeek in Houston to discuss the energy industry's role in the global economy.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author and CERA Chairman Daniel Yergin will chair the 31st annual CERAWeek 2012, "The Quest: Energy, Security and the Future of Economic Growth," which will rally more than 200 industry, policy and financial leaders to examine the obstacles and triumphs that lie ahead for the energy industry.

The conference will provide energy insiders "insight and understanding needed to fully realize the energy's potential in this new economic era, as well as perspective on strategies in this new energy era," said Yergin.

ExxonMobil Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Rex Tillerson will be a keynote speaker at the conference, along with other prominent speakers such as:

  • Peter Voser, Shell chief executive officer
  • James Hackett, Anadarko chairman and chief executive officer
  • Martin Craighead, Baker Hughes president and chief executive officer
  • Helge Lund, Statoil president and chief executive officer

The conference will be held March 5-9, 2012, at the Hilton Americas Hotel. For additional information, visit www.ceraweek.com.
