Environmental Drilling Solutions Names New HSE/QA Manager

Environmental Drilling Solutions, LLC, (EDS), a leader in zero discharge, reuse and reclamation services of oil base mud and cuttings, has named Joseph E. Devoltz Health, Safety and Environment/Quality Assurance (HSE/QA) Manager.

Prior to joining EDS, Devoltz was employed by MI-SWACO where he provided Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) support to operations and upper management as an International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/QHSE Specialist. He has experience in QHSE implementation, management and training.
In his new role as HSE Manager, Devoltz will be responsible for providing guidance to EDS senior management for the implementation of HSE/QA policies and procedures; and identifying opportunities to improve and enhance company performance.

Devoltz earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Technology and an Associate of Science in Safety Technology from Nicholls State University. Additionally he has completed coursework in total quality management and facility management from Louisiana State University.

He is a member of the Gulf Coast Safety and Training Group. His extensive training includes certification for: ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001 Internal Auditor, Petroleum Education Council (PEC) Instructor, Medic First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Hazardous materials (Hazmat), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Instructor.
