Landslide Halts Work at PNG LNG Proj.
A landslide occurred Tuesday morning around 6 a.m. at the PNG LNG project, reported Esso Highlands Ltd, an affiliate of ExxonMobil. The landslide covered the Hildes area in the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea.
Esso Highlands has been in communication with PNG government, including the National Disaster and Emergency Relief Office.
Esso Highlands Limited has shut down work in the Hides and Komo area, said the company in a statement.
ExxonMobil confirmed that all workers have been accounted for.
