Lawrence Svendson, LAGCOE 2011 Chairman and Marlin Energy, LLC Operations Manager announced Angela Cring has been selected to lead LAGCOE - Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition as Executive Director. Svendson stated, "Angela's experience as a geologist and years in LAGCOE management make her an ideal leader to move us forward. Her expert analysis and planning delivered technological advancements which keep LAGCOE at the forefront, poised for growth and development."
Originally from Alexandria, LA, Mrs. Cring has a B.S. in Environmental Geology and Political Science from Millsaps College and an M.S. in Geology from the University of Mississippi. She has experience both in the public and private sector, having worked for the United States Geological Survey and as a geo-hazards geologist. Mrs. Cring is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XXIV and has volunteered for the Delta Delta Delta Fraternity for more than 10 years, St. Barnabas Church, Junior League of Lafayette, The Leadership Institute of Acadiana, and Millsaps College.
Kirby Arceneaux, Chairman for LAGCOE 2013 and Chairman of Environmental Drilling Solutions, LLC said, "Under Angela's leadership, the experienced LAGCOE staff is well positioned to take the show into the future. We are eager to deliver improvements planned for LAGCOE 2013 which will provide services to generate commerce and educate the resilient men and women of the oil and gas industry."
Svendson concluded, "We are grateful for the years of service Sally Ware, former LAGCOE Executive Director, gave to our organization. She leaves a legacy of progress and success produced by her tireless efforts within the organization since 1980. She will be remembered for graciously leading hundreds of experienced volunteers to produce one of the largest oil and gas expositions in the US for 32 years."
