Breitling Preps to Begin Drilling Ok. Well

Breitling O&G plans to begin drilling the Breitling-Golden Ridge #1H in Noble County, Oklahoma. The Golden Ridge #1-H is the first well in Breitling's two-well horizontal Golden Ridge Prospect. The well is planned to be drilled vertically to a depth of approximately 4900' and then 4100' horizontally through the Cleveland Sand. Secondary targets are the Skinner, Mississippi Limestone and the Mississippi Chat.

The Golden Ridge Prospect is a shallow stratigraphic oil play with relatively low geologic and economic risk. The potential exists to drill up to 8 horizontal wells through the oil-bearing Cleveland Sand. The Cleveland is an excellent candidate for horizontal drilling due to high volumes of oil in place and reliable predictability of sand deposition.

The Cleveland is fine-grained shaly sand laid in an east-west direction with a fracture azimuth of approximately 15 degrees. The Golden Ridge #1-H is oriented perpendicular to the fractures taking advantage on any increased porosity and permeability in the shattered sand. This channel system develops sands up to 100' thick in the immediate area.

The company reports that it plans to spud the Breitling-Golden Ridge #1-H on November 27, 2011. "We have accumulated a great acreage position located in a prolific area for the Cleveland sand," said Chris Faulkner, Chief Executive Officer for Breitling. Faulkner added, "I am still bullish on natural gas prices and I feel this prospect will complement Breitling's NatGas daily production for the medium term to long term."
