Tap Oil Says Rugborne-1 Well a Duster

Tap Oil reports that the Rugborne-1 well located in EP-363 offshore Australia will be plugged and abandoned. The well has drilled to a total depth of 1,230 meters measured depth. Although several sandstones were intersected in the zone of interest, no hydrocarbons were encountered.

The Ensco-56 will now be mobilized to install the Linda platform in the Harriet Joint Venture permit TL/1 including the drilling of the Linda-3 production well. This work is expected to take approximately 3 weeks following which the rig is expected to be mobiliaed to drill the Taunton-4 and Blackthorne-1 appraisal wells in TP/7.

EP-363 Joint Venture participants are Tap Oil as operator with 13.6063%; Apache Energy with 73.6037% and Kufpec with the remaining 12.79%.
