Barra Snags Offshore Brazil Interest
Barra Energia has agreed to acquire a 10% stake in Block BM-S-8 from Shell, which currently owns a 20% participation in the area. The block resides offshore in the Santos Basin in a water depth of 6,890 feet (2,100 meters).
Petrobras operates the block with a 66% working interest, while Galp holds a 14% interest.
