Cheniere Initiates Open Seasons for Two Pipelines

Cheniere Energy subsidiaries, Cheniere Sabine Pass Pipeline Company and Cheniere Corpus Christi Pipeline Company, will initiate open seasons for the marketing of their respective planned natural gas pipelines. Cheniere plans to construct a 16-mile, 42-inch diameter natural gas pipeline from the site of its proposed Sabine Pass LNG receiving terminal, running easterly along a corridor that will allow for interconnection points with interstate and intrastate natural gas pipelines in Southwest Louisiana.

Cheniere also plans to construct a 24-mile, 48-inch diameter natural gas pipeline from the site of its proposed Corpus Christi LNG receiving terminal, running northwesterly along a corridor that will allow for interconnection points with interstate and intrastate natural gas transmission pipelines in South Texas. The binding open seasons will commence at 9:00 a.m. (EST) on Feb. 17, 2004 and conclude at 5:00 p.m. (EDT) on April 16, 2004.
