Bison Resources Completes 2003 Drilling Program in Canada

Bison Resources Ltd. reports the results of its most recent drilling in Southeast Saskatchewan. Bison has finished the 2003 drilling program with three vertical oil wells, bringing the total well count drilled for 2003 to twenty six, of which twenty four were oil wells while two were dry holes. Bison maintained a 100% working interest in all wells drilled.

At Viewfield Bison's third vertical well was drilled to the base of the Mississippian further establishing the presence of oil in two porous zones. The Mississippian Frobisher Formation was completed and placed onstream at 20 BOPD with a very substantial inflow. The fourth Viewfield well was drilled to test for a different porous zone in the Huntoon member. Four meters of pay was encountered and the well was completed with 55 BOPD production with water cuts of less than 10%. This success has created the opportunity for an additional vertical well and potentially a horizontal oil well into this zone. The fifth Viewfield well was drilled as the company's first well of 2004 and is currently undergoing acid stimulation and testing. Bison is planning a horizontal well for the second quarter and has identified as many as six new locations on company owned lands. Bison is confident that once a new battery is complete the volume of emulsion produced can be increased resulting in a substantial increase in overall oil production in the Viewfield area.

At Midale a Devonian vertical test was completed in the Duperow Formation yielding light sweet oil currently being produced at approximately 160 BOPD. Bison followed the vertical well with the company's second well of 2004; a single leg horizontal well successfully drilling 360 meters of oil saturated dolomite. Bison expects the well to be completed and tied-in to existing facilities by mid-February at rates of approximately 200 BOPD. As with the previous Devonian wells drilled into the pool, the presence of large gas volumes necessitated the installation of additional gas separation equipment to stabilize production throughput to the company's Midale battery. Bison has planned a busy first quarter of 2004 with the emphasis on further developing its Viewfield, Steelman and Midale properties.
