Cairn's first exploration well in Prospect A, KG-A-1, on Block KG-OS/6 offshore Eastern India was drilled to a total depth of 13,225 feet and has been plugged and abandoned as a dry hole. The Energy Searcher will now move to Prospect '6', located in the north east of Block KG-OS/6, approximately 35 miles northeast of the A-1 location. Cairn holds a 50 percent interest in Block KG-OS/6 and Videocon Petroleum Limited holds the other 50 percent.
