Nido Spuds Ginadara Well



Nido Petroleum has spud the Gindara-1 exploratory well using the Atwood Falcon semisub. The well will be drilled to a total vertical depth below sea level (TVDss) of 11,975 feet (3,650 meters).

The top of the primary Nido limestone reservoir objective is prognosed at 11,227 feet (3,422 meters) MD and the top of the secondary Coron Clastic reservoir at 9,423 feet (2,872 meters) MD. Nido said the well is expected to reach the primary objective Nido limestone reservoir in approximately 16 days.

Gindara is located in Service Contract 54 Block B in the NW Palawan Basin, Philippines. Nido holds a 33% stake and is operator of SC 54B. Partners in the license include Shell (45%) and Kairiki Energy (22%).
