Technip Wins Vigdis NE Subsea Contract

Statoil granted Technip a subsea contract for the Vigdis NE field development, located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

The contract covers welding and installation of flowlines, including a .9 mile (1.5 kilometer) pipe-in-pipe production flowline and a 6 mile (9-kilometer) plastic-lined water injection flowline; the supply of flexible tails for the flowlines; subsea equipment installation; and installation and tie-ins of flowlines flexible tails, jumpers and umbilicals.

Vigdis North East is a fast-track oil and gas development situated in a water depth of 919 feet (280 meters). Statoil operates the field, holding a 41.5% interest.
