Fire Extinguished at Maersk's Platform Offshore Qatar
Maersk Oil Qatar announced a fire broke out on the AD accommodation platform in the Al Shaheen field. The fire, which occurred in the emergency generator room, was extinguished and the situation is under control. The cause of the fire is unknown and an investigation is being performed.
Al Shaheen is located in the Persian Gulf in waters measuring from 164 to 230 feet (50 to 70 meters) deep, off the coast of Qatar.
