Chevron Bids High to Extend Footprint in Norwegian Sea
Chevron won exploration rights to Production License 598 compromising four blocks (6601/6, 6601/9, 6602/4, 6602/7) in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
The blocks are located in the Outer Voring Basin, about 335 miles (539 kilometers) west of the coast of Bodo in 6,824 feet (2,080 feet) of water. Chevron was appointed operator of the license with a 40% interest.
