Sea Trucks announced a contract award from Hess Equatorial Guinea to carry out the installation of a produced water module unit on its Sendje Ceiba FPSO in Equatorial Guinea.
The scope of work comprises the installation of a produced water handling module and four living quarters modules on its Sendje Ceiba FPSO in Equatorial Guinea. The total weight of the M12 produced water module is approximately 300 short tons.
The work is expected to be executed during 2Q 2011 using the Jascon 25 DP3 offshore construction vessel and will take approximately 15 days including mob and demob.
This contract is the second for Hess (the first one was an accommodation support contract in Malaysia in 2007) and the Sea Trucks’ first in Equatorial Guinea.
Jacques J. Roomans, President and CEO of the Sea Trucks Group, noted, "I am delighted that with this first contract in Equatorial Guinea we further expand our footprint in West Africa. This lifting contract also demonstrates the versatility of our hybrid DP3 vessel fleet. With the same vessel Sea Trucks completed a SURF contract and a decommissioning contract in Australia in 2010."
