Hoang Long Expects to Start Production at Te Giac Trang in August
Hoang Long Joint Operating Company has completed four development wells and has started drilling an eighth development well on the Te Giac Trang (TGT) field.
The four wells, TGT-4P to 7P, were drilled in "batch" mode, stated the press release. Preliminary anaylsis indicates that the wells have confirmed the reservoir model.
All wells are being suspended as producers. The field is expected to commence production in August 2011. Production is expected to plateau at 55,000 bopd during the first phase.
The operator is now focusing on the TGT-8P well, targeting the central area of the H1.2 fault block, near the TGT-1X discovery well. The well will take about 30 days to drill and complete. Once development work is completed, start-up of installation operations for the in-field pipelines and the FPSO will commence.
