Lundin Awarded Drilling Permit in North Sea

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Lundin Norway a drilling permit for well 16/3-4 using the Breford Dolphin semisub. The drilling program for well 16/3-4 relates to the drilling of a wildcat well in Production License 501. The license consists of Blocks 16/2, 16/3, 16/5 and 16/6. The well will be drilled approximately 4 miles (6 kilometers) southeast of the oil discovery well 16/2-6, Avaldsnes, in the North Sea. Lundin operates the license with a 50% interest; RWE Dea with a 20% interest; and Wintershall Norge with a 30% interest.
