Largest Liftboat in the World Ready for Work

Dixie Patriot
The M/V Dixie Patriot, the largest and most technically advanced liftboat in the world, is set to begin work in the Gulf of Mexico.

Louisiana companies Danos and Curole Marine Contractors, headquartered in Larose and Semco, LLC of Lafitte have recently entered into an operating agreement to provide safe, full service solutions for GOM operators. The 280-class Dixie Patriot can work in water depths of up to 200 feet and is outfitted with two Seatrax 200-ton capacity cranes mounted on its forward leg towers, allowing for a tandem lift of 400 tons. Additionally, the ABS classed and USCG certified Dixie Patriot has over 11,000 square feet of usable deck space, making it a unique platform to perform a wide variety of offshore project applications, specifically decommissioning and heavy lift projects.

The companies are also actively seeking international contract opportunities for the vessel, and are looking to expand this technology to emerging overseas O&G markets.
