MDS Adds New Instructor

Murchison Drilling Schools (MDS) has hired Tim Arnold as an Instructor. Tim is retiring from Marathon Oil Company with thirty years of work in operations and engineering. Tim has a Petroleum Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines. His experience includes planning and supervising a wide range of onshore, offshore, domestic and international projects.

He has been directly involved in horizontal wells, S-Shaped wells, underbalanced drilling, and high pressure wells. He is certified in well control by both the IADC and IWCF.

Tim will be joining MDS on February 1, 2011. He will be teaching the ten-day Operational Drilling Technology & Advanced Well Control course, the Practical Drilling Technology course, the Advanced Drilling Technology course, the five-day IADC WellCAP Advanced Well Control Course, the five day IWCF Well Control Course, the two-day Floater Operation Transitions course, and customized in-house classes.
