Dragon Oil's Lam Well Tests 1,622 bopd

Dragon Oil has completed and tested the Dzheitune (Lam) B/150 development well. The B/150 well was drilled to a depth of 3,980 meters and was completed as a dual producer by the Iran Khazar rig. The combined initial test rate of the well was 1,622 bopd with the short and long strings testing at 632 and 990 bopd, respectively, announced Dragon Oil.

The rig has now skidded to the next slot and drilled the Dzheitune (Lam) B/153 well. Dragon Oil has completed the 2010 drilling program with the last of the 11 planned wells put into production in the first week of January this year, commented the CEO, Dr. Abdul Jaleel Al Khalifa. The Lam oil field is situated on Block 2 in the Cheleken Contract area offshore Turkmenistan, which Dragon Oil wholly owns and operates.
